Food Service Coordinator

Description - The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for the general supervision of the nutrition program and other related food services of the YWCA as well as the custodial services necessary to maintaining an orderly and clean environment in accordance with State regulations.

Location – YWCA NETN and SWVA, 106 State Street, Bristol, TN 37620

Schedule – This is a full time position with benefits, scheduled 40 hours per week. Scheduled work week, Monday through Friday. Occasional night and weekend training may be required.

Education/Experience – Qualified applicants must be have a high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of food service experience. Experience working with school or preschool age children a plus.

Advocacy Program Coordinator

The Advocacy Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall development and management, coordination, and daily operational procedures of the Emerging Adult Advocacy Program, as well as providing direct victim services as needed to any victims of crime between the ages of seventeen (17) and twenty-four (24) in Sullivan County.

Location –Sullivan County, Tennessee

Schedule – This is a grant funded, full time, salaried position with benefits.

Education/Experience – Master’s Degree preferred, minimum of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in the human services field. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in victim services and/or non-profit management. The ideal applicant would possess the following:  extensive knowledge of crisis intervention techniques dealing with sexual assault or domestic violence, project and program development, staff supervision, grant writing, excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills.

After school Educational Assistant

This part time afternoon/evening position will be responsible for assisting with the planning and implementing of a successful afterschool empowerment program for girls in accordance with the policies and mission of the organization through direct interaction and supervision of afterschool participants.

Education/Experience

  • Associate Degree or two (2) years experience working with elementary or middle school youth grades 4th through 8th.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age in accordance with Tennessee Department of Education requirements.
  • Possess or willing to obtain upon hire: CPR and First Aid Certification as well as F Endorsement driver’s license

YWCA Children’s Center

Lead Educator

The Lead Educator is responsible for ensuring the physical, mental, emotional and social well-being of the children in their care. The individual is expected to maintain age appropriate classroom environment, lesson plans and activities that meet State of Tennessee Licensure Rules and Star Quality standards.

Schedule – This is a full time position with benefits, scheduled 40 hours per week. Potential work hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend training sessions may be required.

Education/Experience – Qualified applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. CDA or Degree in related field and two (2) years of childcare experience in a licensed center preferred.
