Center Cleaning Specialist

Description - The Center Cleaning Specialist is responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitizing of childcare classrooms and all common areas of the YWCA Children’s Center. Duties will include but are not limited to daily cleaning of all areas, gathering trash, perform laundry duties to ensure clean inventory for classroom use at all times, deep cleaning of equipment, furniture, fixtures and walls as scheduled.

 Location – YWCA Children’s Center, 106 State Street, Bristol, TN 37620

Schedule – This is a part time position with limited benefits, a minimum of 20 hours per week that requires the willingness to work late evenings and nights. Typical schedule Monday – Friday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Education/Experience – Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, proven working experience in relevant field, punctuality and reliability is a must.

Skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Maintain standards of cleanliness within the time limits
  • Basic knowledge of established cleaning procedures and techniques as well as the purpose and application of cleaning products
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to lift/carry, push/pull maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time

Summer Camp Coordinator

Description - Under the direction of the Director, the Summer Camp Coordinator is responsible for leading small and large group activities for the full summer. This position works with children ages 5-12 years old and is directly responsible for the safety and supervision of their assigned group at all times.

 Location – Wellmont Child Development Center, 281 Steeles Road, Bristol, TN

Schedule – This is a seasonal position, scheduled up to 40 hours per week during the school systems summer break with a potential for full time hire. Scheduled work week, Monday through Friday.

Education/Experience – Qualified applicants must be have a high school diploma or equivalent and knowledgeable in the planning and implementation of both educational and fun experiences for school age children.   The candidate should be energetic and have a positive attitude and have the ability to interact with parents. They must be nurturing to children and able to set consistent limits for the children.

Educational Assistants – Childcare 6 weeks to 5 years of age

Educational Assistant – Afterschool 9 to 12 years of age

Description

The Educational Assistant is responsible for ensuring the physical, mental, emotional and social well-being of the children in their care.

Schedule

Childcare has both full and part time positions available, flexible schedules that are great for students. Scheduled shifts Monday – Friday between the hours of 6:15 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Afterschool has part time positions available 25 hours per week. Schedule 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Education/Experience

Qualified childcare applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualified afterschool applicants must be 21 years of age, have a clean driving record and be willing to obtain F endorsement driver’s license.

Schedule – This is a full time position with benefits, scheduled 40 hours per week. Potential work hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend training sessions may be required.

Education/Experience – Qualified applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. CDA or Degree in related field and two (2) years of experience caring for infants in a licensed center.
