YWCA McGlothlin-Street Childcare Center
There are few things more important to parents than knowing their little one is safe and well-cared for when they are working or at school. YWCA Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia is proud to provide families in our area top-notch affordable childcare with fees on a sliding scale based on household income. Since 1987, we have been serving this critical need and are licensed by the State of Tennessee with the highest “Three-Star” rating.
• Three Star Rating in the Tennessee Star Quality Program.
• Developmentally appropriate classrooms and indoor/outdoor play areas.
• Serves children age 6-weeks to Pre-K, 5 days per week, year round.
• Hours of operation: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Secure facility with video monitoring.
• Nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack served to children 6 weeks of age and above.
• Lesson plans created for each classroom using developmentally appropriate practice and TN Early Learning Developmental Standards.
• A reduced fee will be available to any child whose household income meets qualifying guidelines.

Wellmont Child Development Center
Since 1999, the YWCA has partnered with Wellmont Health System to operate the Wellmont Child Development Center on the campus of the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Although designed to serve the children of Wellmont healthcare workers, additional openings are often available to parents in need of extended-hour child care within our community.
The Wellmont Child Development Center offers:
• Serves children age 6-weeks to Pre-K, 5 days per week, year round.
• Care for children up to 12 years of age during school breaks.
• Three-Star Rating in TN’s Star Quality Childcare program.
• Secure facility with video monitoring.
• Curriculum-based pre-K program to prepare children for kindergarten.
• Age-appropriate classrooms and outdoor play areas.
• Nutritious breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and evening meal served to children 12 months of age and above.
• Classroom computers.
• School Holiday and Snow Day care available for children up to 12 years old.
