Latest Update for MLK Day 2025
At this time, the YWCA Children's event is ON as planned. The 2 pm program and 3 pm refreshments are ON as planned at First Baptist Church.
The march/walk is CANCELLED. This frees our city workers to address other issues and it provides easier access to closer parking for First
Baptist Church.
The event kicks off at the YWCA gymnasium with a dedicated youth program aimed at inspiring and empowering the leaders of tomorrow. From 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, this special gathering will pay homage to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s enduring legacy by engaging youth in meaningful conversations about justice, equality, and community service, while also offering interactive crafts and activities for children.
