ASIST is a 2-day Interactive workshop in suicide first aid. The workshop helps people apply suicide first aid in many settings- with family, friends, co-workers, and more formal helping roles. We are limited to an enrollment of 30 attendees.
Attend the award-winning ASIST workshop and learn to:
- Recognize people at risk of suicide,
- Talk to them, hear their stories, and understand their situations, then
- Help them to stay safe with a life-affirming intervention

Training will be conducted by Mount Rogers Community Services and hosted by the YWCA.
Mount Rogers Community Services will provide a paper with directions on how to receive CEUs for this training. It is a quick online process and there may be a fee up to $75.00. 12-16 CEUs are available for this training depending on the certifying board.
(Attendance is required for both full days to receive a certificate)
